The rules concerning the driving instructor professional education are going to be changed from next year. The instructors will have to take part in annual workshops that will help them to be up-to-date with new regulations and give an opportunity to exchange work experiences. The instructors will also have to undergo the medical tests each year proving that there are no objections for practising the profession. The introduction of these rules was provoked by the number of accidents caused by trainees during driving lessons. The process of completing and developing professional qualifications is crucial in vocations that have anything to do with teaching people. The Driving instructor training workshops include theoretical and practical classes completing the participants knowledge and skills connected with teaching traffic regulations and driving. After this annual supplementary course, the instructors will have to pass a test assessing their abilities. The driving licence examiners will also have to participate a professional course similar to the driving instructor training workshops and provide a medical certificate each year. The new regulations come into force from the beginning of January.
